An active shooter is an individual(s) actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area. An active shooter incident can take place at anytime, anywhere.

In this inter-active workshop you will understand how to develop a plan of survival for you, your family, your friends and co-works. You will learn how to properly and safely respond to this kind of incident. This workshop will be both classroom and hands-on training for your better understanding and learning experience.

Stop the Bleed Course Overview presented by Rob Soto
In almost any violent encounter injuries will be sustained. Survivability will not only depend on mitigating the threat, but also identifying and treating wounds in a timely manner.

This course teaches participants the basic life-saving medical interventions, including bleeding control with a tourniquet, bleeding control with gauze packs or topical hemostatic agents, and opening an airway to allow a casualty to breathe.

-rationale for early use of a tourniquet for life-threatening extremity bleeding
-appropriate application of a tourniquet to the arm and leg
-progressive strategy for controlling hemorrhage
-appropriate airway control techniques and devices
-correct application of a topical hemostatic agent

Edged Weapon Defense Inter-Active Workshop: July 15, 2018


July 15, 2018   l   2 PM to 5 PM

Edged weapons are one of the most common types of weapons used in violent attacks in America, second only to handguns. Knives are easy to carry and conceal, and many are legal to own and carry in public venues.

Learn the critical skills for self defense against an edged weapon attack whether you are emptied hand or carrying your own knife.

Learn the importance and the key elements in accessing and deploying your own blade.

Learn critical skills to defend against an attacker wielding an edged weapon.

This is a hands on practical approach to doing what it takes to get yourself and your loved ones out of a dangerous situation.

Course Curriculum:
-safe handling procedures
-unarmed defense against edged weapons / empty hand defense
-disarming techniques (close quarters & under stress)
-time & distance
-leverage & blade mechanics
-wound analysis & target effects

*There is no pre-requisite for this course.

Training knives and material will be provided.

Handgun Retention with Ground Defense Workshop: August 18, 2018


Most handgun disarms or attempts happen when the person is taken by surprise from behind or the attack from the front is preceded by vicious strikes in order to take you off balance or to the ground and get a hand on your handgun.

Learn techniques regardless of gender, size and physical ability in a realistic training atmosphere with the understanding that no matter where you are there is always a handgun in play… and that handgun is yours!
